Yesterday (Friday) was a jam packed day of class in the morning, followed by a meeting about Turkey (we leave on Thursday!), crashing a field trip the philosophy class took to the Tao Center (a place with meditation/yoga classes, and a Thai restaurant), and then a "rave" up in the kitchen of our apartment (complete with face paint).
The Tao Center was beautiful and incredibly relaxing. The sun was shining, and we toured the grounds and enjoyed some green tea before heading downstairs to a circle of pillows and some relaxation exercises. After we were worn out, the staff took advantage of our state and offered us some Thai food outside on the patio (I tried Pad Thai for the first time, so good!!)
As for the rave, it was complete opposite in terms of the relaxation factor, but just as fun! We turned up the dubstep music, and were enthralled with the beautiful underwater scenes from the movie Planet Earth displayed on the sheet from the projector. Such a great time dancing and spending time together as a group.
My first souvenir: starfish ring. In love! |
A beautiful sky after class earlier this week. And me sitting on the top of the roof enjoying the warm sunshine.
